Springfield, IL – State Senator Tom Bennett (R-Gibson City) issued the following statement on the new legislation to end Illinois’ nuclear moratorium and allow for the construction of next generation of nuclear reactors.
“I was excited to vote for House Bill 2473 which passed the Senate today by a wide margin with strong bipartisan support. This legation will help us as we work towards building a stronger, more reliable power grid in Illinois. This will also help our state to become a leader in high tech, efficient, and affordable power generation.”
